Firesheild Game Library

A game library and review community built on Firebase and Express.

A catalogue of games with user profiles, ratings and written reviews. The interesting part was the read model: a library page that has to stay fast while several users are reviewing the same title.

Sole developer.

Firesheild is a game library: a browsable catalogue where each title has a page, a rating, and written reviews from other users, alongside per-user profiles. It is the first project here where the difficulty was not building a form but keeping a shared list correct while people write on it at the same time.

How it is put together

The client is React. Firebase handles authentication and the realtime behaviour a review feed needs, while an Express and MongoDB layer holds the catalogue and the written reviews.

Client, authentication, and the catalogue API as separate concerns.

A simplified map of the deployed shape. Ratings and reviews are the shared state that made this the hardest part.
